What is my Personal ID?
In NoodleTools, your work is stored in a personal
folder. Your Personal ID (and password) is
your key to your personal folder. It identifies you uniquely,
and allows you to access your personal folder from any computer
that has Internet access and a Web browser.
Important: Your personal ID is NOT THE SAME as
your school or library subscription username/password!
Individual subscriber?
If you are an "individual subscriber" (i.e., you purchased a
personal/family subscription to NoodleTools using PayPal or
PayFlow Link), a personal folder was created automatically for
you when you subscribed. Log in using the username and password
you selected on the sign-up form. You do not need to click the
"Create a Personal ID" link on the login screen. If you have forgotten
your Personal ID or your password, click here to have them e-mailed to you.
Logging in through your school or library subscription or trial?
The first time you use NoodleTools, you will need to select a personal ID and password for yourself.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the login page (if your school/library has a link
to the login page, use that rather than clicking through
from the home page).
- Click "Create a Personal ID."
- If prompted, select "An account linked to my library's
or school's subscription" and click "Continue."
- If you are not authenticated automatically into the
subscription, enter your school/library username and
password (or library barcode, if a public library).
- On the next screen, define your personal ID and
password and click "Register." In the future, you'll just
use your new personal ID and password to log in. You will no
longer need to know your school/library login.
- If you forget your password, you can obtain
a password hint.
- If you forget your personal ID, you'll need to
ask your NoodleTools account administrator (typically your
school librarian) to look it up for you.
